Welcome to St. John's Child Care! We are looking forward to seeing those of you who took a summer break and we welcome back all "veterans." Our staff is ready to great the new people who enter our doors and become part of our childcare family. We had a very busy summer with our PDO program and our full-day summer campers.
Parking: St. John's School dismissal traffic pattern will have cars lined up in front of the family life center and will start moving shortly after 3:00pm. For safety reasons it might be best if you exit the building by 3:00pm so you are no caught in the middle of their dismissal line.
Finances: Any unpaid registration, snack/supply fees are due the first day you attend. August tuition is use the first week you attend. Please remember that your monthly tuition is figured by dividing the full tuition amount for the entire program into 10 equal payments. Your updated ledger will be in your family folder (located in the foyer) the first day of classes. Remember to stay current with your montly/weekly charges to avoid late fees. Lunches: We will continue to offer hot lunches for all programs. You may send your child's lunch or purchase a hot lunch. The cost is $3.00 for a tray lunch (drink inlcuded). A menu will be sent out monthly. It will also be on our sebsite. You must inform your child's teacher by 9:30 am on a daily basis if your child will be purchasing a hot lunch. Lunch money is handled through the office. Refer to your parent handbook.
Handbooks: We ask that you please read the Parent Handbook. Each year we make changes, some obvious, some subtle, and by reading this you are an informed parent. Please turn in the handbook acknowldgement form into the office.
Dress for Success: For modesty, any little girls wearing dresses should wear shorts underneath.
ASC: There is a noon dismissal for Pre K - 8th on Wednesday, September 22nd. We will offer after school care. The sign up sheet will be in the foyer. There is no additional fee if you are already registered in the after school care progra and you sign up on time. There is no school for Pre K - 8 on Monday, September 27th. We will offer all day care. There is a charge of $35 for this day. There will be a sign up sheet in the foyer.
Subsititutes: If you or someone you know are interested in being a substitute, please contact Donna or Joni. Substitutes must have an 8-hour pre-service training which will be held September 23 and 28 from 9:30 - 2:00. They also must take the "Safe Environment" course as reuired by the Diocese. You can check the Diocese website at www.fwdioc.org to find classes in the area. Subsititutes are paid an hourly wage. We appreciate anyone coming forward who is interested.
