About Us St. John's Child Care was founded in 1977 under the Family Life Ministry. It has grown from a Mother's Day Out program to include a Before and After School Care, a full day program and a summer program. The mission of St. John's Child Care is to provide professional care, supervision, recreation and enrichment activities in a Christian environment through a variety of programs for children ages 12 months thru 8th grade. We are a state licensed facility.
Before School Care is from 7:00am-8:00am, Monday thru Friday. No breakfast is served, but you are welcome to bring your own. A quiet, relaxed atmosphere prevails in order for the children to get a good start to their day.
After School Care is designed to accommodate children in need of extended care, Monday thru Friday, from 3:00pm-6:00pm. Child care is also offered for St. John's school's noon dismissal days, teacher in-service days and parent/teacher conference days. Our program realizes the need for children to "shift gears" after school. Our goal is to provide activities planned to complement the philosophy and value systems of the school and family. Art and craft projects, games and recreation, cooking and snack time are just a few of the growth activities planned. Also, there is a time set aside for homework completion with resource materials available.
Early Enrichment is a program designed to enrich the physical, intellectual, social and emotional growth of each child. The day consists of religious teachings, play centers, story times, outdoor play, music, games, crafts and a variety of other activities. There is a "rest time". Children can enjoy a hot lunch or a lunch brought from home. The program is for children one years old to four years old. The session is from 8:00am-3:00pm with three options available: five days a week, three days a week (Mon/Wed/Fri) or two days a week (Tues/Thurs). | Parent's Day Out This program is designed for children ages 12 months and older. We offer a one day program (Wednesday) and a two day program (Tues/Thur). The hours of operation is from 9:00am-2:30pm. The purpose is to provide pleasant group experiences for children while also providing some personal time for busy parents. The day consists of play center, story time, snack time, outdoor play, music, games, religious teachings, crafts and a variety of other activities. | Summer Program Summer consists of two programs. A seven week Parents Day Out session and a full time Summer Camp. We provide all the activities kids should enjoy in the summer: playing sports, picnics, water activities, arts & crafts, etc. |
